Your Rights Under California Law

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives California residents specific rights regarding their personal information. This page explains those rights and how to exercise them.

What "Sell" and "Share" Mean

Under California law:

  • "Sell" means disclosing personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
  • "Share" means disclosing personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

When you submit a loan request through Zuvlio, we share your personal information with lenders in our network to fulfill your request. This activity may constitute a "sale" or "share" under California law. You have the right to opt out of such sales and sharing.

As a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell
  • Delete your personal information (with some exceptions)
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

Verification Process

To protect your privacy, we must verify your identity before processing your request. Verification may include:

  • Confirming information you previously provided to us
  • Sending a confirmation email to your email address
  • Requesting additional documentation in some cases

We cannot process requests if we cannot verify your identity.

Response Timeline

We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and provide a substantive response within 45 days of receiving a verifiable request. If we need more time (up to an additional 45 days), we will notify you of the extension and the reason.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. If you use an authorized agent, we may require:

  • Written permission from you authorizing the agent
  • Verification of the agent's identity
  • Direct verification of your identity
